“DRIVING CHANGE IN MOTORSPORT THROUGH THE POWER OF WOMEN”
As one of the only worldwide community groups for women in motorsport we have built our community on four key pillars:
Education
Business Development
Support and Assistance
Lobbying / Representation
We offer multi-disciplinary services to our community in all the above pillars to help women develop in motorsport. We would hope that by offering these services we can help drive the development of women in motorsport worldwide.
If you would like to ask about one or more of our services, please use the contact form at the bottom of the page. As a non-for-profit community group all proceeds from consultancy work (after expenses) are donated to the community fund for the promotion of women in motorsport.
EDUCATION
Soft Skills Education
There are several areas in which the motorsport industry – as a function of being a microcosm of our society, they are not exclusively motorsport's issues – falls down on soft skills, and this has created difficulties for people and particularly women. Starting with our unique Elastic Heart Toolkit, we unpack some of these topics and how to overcome them.
BUSINESS AND SELF DEVELOPMENT
Corporate Culture and Diversity Consultancy
If you struggle to retain women staff members, it may be due to an unwelcoming corporate culture. We do an interview-based evaluation of your company, present to you a report of the issues and suggest targeted strategies to remedy them. We will also provide ongoing consultancy support to help your company implement the changes recommended. Also if you need to review your employment policies we have a panel of experienced international employment lawyers to call upon to assist.
New start up business development
As women become more involved in motorsport many are beginning the journey of developing their own companies around the business of motorsport, developing new teams, and developing themselves as a product. We, through our team of business experts worldwide, can help and guide you through the initial stages of your new journey. We can offer mentoring services, guide you through business start-up plans and put you in contact with people in our sport all over the world who might be able to help.
Promoting Women in Motorsport
Are you developing a successful career in motorsport? Help us help you to promote yourself to the community of women we represent. Why not be one of our Women of the Week? Write an article we can publish online for you. There are many ways we can help get you noticed.
SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE
Well-being Coaching / Life Mentoring
If you would like to talk to someone about making changes in your life we would be glad to work with you. Topics we have experience in dealing with include - non-violent conflict resolution; soft skills; dealing with stress and mental health; recovering from difficult past experiences through abuse and violence; body positivity (trans- and PoC-friendly). Our vast community has encountered everything you have at some stage so we always have someone you can open up to and talk freely in a safe and open environment.
Anti-Discrimination Advice
If you suspect you have been discriminated against in our sport contact us to discuss the situation. If you have a case, we will refer you to a motorsport lawyer to discuss your options.
Pep Talks (free service)
If you're having a down day, and would like a confidential, supportive, and empathetic ear, message one of the social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr). While we are a group of volunteers, we will do our best to respond very quickly to you.
Slack Channels (free service)
We run a collection of channels on Slack for women in motorsport, divided by subject area. Email us for an invite. These are not woman-only spaces but conduct rules do apply.
LOBBYING / REPRESENTATION
Corporate Conflict Resolution
Sports in general are complex due to substantial regulations and structures. We don’t represent governing bodies however we do understand how motorsport works from the inside out. As such some issues you may encounter require an outsider's perspective to negotiate and settle the matter outside of the Courts or regulatory panels or a sport’s governing body. If you need some assistance dealing with your particular issue you have encountered with your local or national sports governing body drop us an email and we will put you in contact with someone who cares and can guide you through a non-conflict alternative dispute resolution pathway.
Lobbying
Rules in sport change constantly and sometimes without much consultation with those who the changes affect most. Over the last number of years we have developed a strong female community of women in motorsport and hope to continue to do so into the future. Our community can have a strong voice at the table where these changes, which affect your sport and your life, are being made. If you see an issue arising let us know. In turn we will let the community know and hopefully together we can foster change in the sport we love so much.
The time has come in motorsport for change. Change that can make the sport more all-inclusive to all.
