Happy Thursday everybody! We have an exciting announcement today - Brij has done her bit with the logo artwork, and has made our store on Zazzle. It's still very early stages, because we're not yet done negotiating with the contributing Sisterhood artists. We have some great products for you, featuring different versions of the logo, which was designed by Stuart Taylor.
There are t-shirts, sweaters, and hats. (Discussions at Sisterhood HQ have centered around whether or not Zazzle's hats are trucker hats...you decide for yourself. Either way, Brij has been singing Bowling for Soup's song 'Trucker Hat' since she made that cap, and now we all have it stuck in our heads.) You can even buy a branded baby romper for future Sisterhood members!
As part of our expansion/inclusion program, we want your art work in our store. If you are an artist/photographer and have images of girl-racers or women in motorsport, we would love to speak to you about sharing your work. As I mentioned previously, we will share the royalties from each sale between the scholarship/sponsorship program and the contributing artist. Use the contact form below to get in touch with us and submit examples of your work. To protect your intellectual property, sending us a sample of your creative output does not constitute giving us rights to your images; we view this as the trailer, rather than the feature film.
If you are a maker and would like to make women-in-motorsport-themed products, we can add your work to a separate store page, link to (and promote) your portfolio page, or find some other way to collaborate. (This is a recession, and everyone in the community needs extra money.). This invitation is particularly applicable to anyone who can make capes and print our logo on it. We grew up with Sci-Fi movies assuring us that by 2015 we would all be wearing capes; we need to make this fashion trend happen.
